I chose IES Foundation Year because I wanted to get into UQ. I chose UQ because it was classified as one of the world’s best universities and I liked the program they offered for my career. I’m about to graduate and even as happy as I am to be starting university, it’s quite sad leaving IES Foundation Year. You create friends with your teachers and schoolmates, which you’ll probably carry through your university life.
I hope to study Medicine! The nice thing about UQ is that they give me the choice to study for two degrees while I get prepared for one. I get to study Health Science and then medicine, so by the time I’m a doctor I will have two degrees.
Brisbane is beautiful! Lots of young people, nice places to hang out and transport is great. It's just a great place to live as a student and be in contact with different cultures and nationalities. It’s a new experience and you’ll meet people from everywhere and make good friendships. IES Foundation Year is like opening yourself up to new life experiences and personal growth.
