I joined IES Foundation Year because it was the best pathway to UQ. I believed it would give me critical skills to survive my first year uni and it really did.

The benefits or IES Foundation Year are learning the necessary skills for uni, getting used to the Australian education system and making friends. I was impressed by the friendly staff and teachers who were always giving their support and help.

Brisbane is a beautiful city. I enjoy going to South Bank, the state library and of course the theme parks at the gold coast. While I was at IES Foundation Year , I attended several student activities, such as a trip to Stradbroke Island, visit to the Gold Coast and the theme parks.

I am currently studying pharmacy. My future goals are getting an M.D. and becoming a doctor or getting Master's and PhD and hopefully becoming a university professor and a research team leader. Receiving the Pharmacy Bursary was a great morale boost. I was just so happy receiving the bursary because I felt that all of the hard work I've put during my period of studying has paid off.

If you choose to study at IES Foundation Year you won’t regret it. It's a great chance to familiarise yourself with a new country and the best pathway to a world-class university.
