ABOUT IES COLLEGE
For over 20 years, IES College has successfully transitioned more than 10,000 students into their chosen undergraduate degrees at leading Australian universities.
Building on the success of our university preparation programs, we now have more choices of education offerings for our students, from the Certificate IV in University Preparation to our High school offerings for year 10, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for students in Year 11 and 12.
IES College is an environment where diversity is embraced; our academic and experiential learning program will support, nurture and challenge students while preparing them for success in an increasingly complex world.
Our students engage in critical analysis of their own learning journey. We inspire them to seek out the skills they require to understand their place in a diverse world. We are committed to the empowerment of students so they, in turn, serve to empower others in their local and global community.
- Growth from a place of safety
- Individuality through inclusion
- Student determined success
WHAT MAKES IES COLLEGE DIFFERENT?
INVESTING IN EDUCATION
As a not-for-profit organisation IES has a clear mandate to re-invest in education – cutting-edge education tools and programs, and powerful engagement opportunities that enrich the lives of our students and the community.
We live our passion to improve social cohesion in Australian schools, communities and workplaces. Working in partnership with SBS, we have developed ground-breaking Cultural Competence Programs that are now being embraced in workplaces around the country. We are proud to be leading in this field and our expertise flows through all of our College learning environments.
COMMITMENT TO AUSTRALIA’S FIRST NATION PEOPLE
We believe in honouring Indigenous Australia and providing genuine opportunities for our students to learn more about Australian Indigenous people and their stories and cultures. IES students have access to incredible opportunities to travel to regional art centres in the Northern Territory, to visit and meet with the community, and to work with Indigenous artists-in-residence at our Brisbane campus.
IES is proud of the reputation we have built for delivering high-quality, innovative educational experiences and services. We have been awarded several Queensland State Government awards recognising our exceptional client service, including the Best Pathway Program and Outstanding International Student Support awards. Being nominated for several industry awards, including the Lord Mayor’s Business Award for Excellence in International Education Delivery, also made us very proud.
SMALL AND PERSONALISED CLASSES
Big isn’t always better, and at IES College, we are proud to be providing a smaller-scale learning environment where every student has an important place and can make a positive contribution. We support our students to reach their potential, feel safe, supported and heard.
At IES College, students are not required to wear uniforms and reap the benefits of extended personal freedoms and responsibilities in regards to their learning. We treat our students as young adults, and as such, the college respects and encourages our students to express themselves and whom they are the way they would do it out in the community.
