Combined with the required English Language proficiency and grades, the 10950NAT Certificate IV in University Preparation qualification provides you with a pathway to access higher education, including entry to all Queensland Universities.

Academic Entry Requirements for Progression to University in Queensland

Following successful attainment of the 10950NAT Certificate IV in University Preparation, and based on your Grade Point Average (GPA) from the five (5) subjects studied, you will be awarded a university selection ranking.

Your Student Visa

The 10950NAT Certificate IV in University Preparation course is delivered fully online, so you won't lose any time waiting to travel and you don't need a Student Visa to get started.

However, once you finish your online study with IES, you will need to have your Student Visa to travel to Australia to study on campus at the university of your choice.

Your online studies and assessment outcomes will be accepted for progression into university as planned.

CQUniversity

International student graduates from the IES Certificate IV in University Preparation with a GPA of 4.0 or above are eligible for direct entry into the first year of relevant undergraduate programs in our university.

MINIMUM ENGLISH LANGUAGE ENTRY REQUIREMENT EQUIVALENCIES FOR UNIVERSITY ENTRY: For full details refer to this table

Students who have successfully completed the above IES qualification with an English language proficiency level grade of 5 (65%) for their Academic English studies is deemed to have met CQUniversity's English Language Proficiency Entry Requirements for Standard English Language Proficiency Undergraduate courses and in addition the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) course. If a student does not meet the English language proficiency grade of 5, CQUniversity also recognizes a number of English tests including IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson PTE Academic, Cambridge and OET which can be taken to meet our English language proficiency requirements. Students can refer to the CQUniversity Handbook for a list of courses and the respective English language scores required for entry.

Any successful domestic student graduates from the IES Certificate IV in University Preparation will be assessed under QTAC schedules B1010-B1013.
